Dry Fruits Roll

I remember my friend made something like this during a cooking competition in our college ,its a super healthy sweet for kids , anybody who likes dates would love these , made it with dates and figs and a little bit of tutti frutti which I had bought for making Christmas cakes , any dry fruits and and nuts can be used , though using dates helps in binding the whole mixture.

Ingredients

Dates - 1/4 cup chopped
Figs - 5 no's chopped
Cashew nuts/Almonds - 1/4 cup or less
Condensed Milk - 3 table spoon or more (make it more sweet or less sweet as you wish)
Milk Powder - a little less than 1/2 cup
Butter or Ghee  - to grease the foil
I used Tutti fruitti too but its not necessary , added these to save them from being thrown to trash.

Method

* Mix all the dry fruits together , heat in low flame in a non stick pan , add the sweetened condensed milk and combine well , switch off the heat .Don't have to cook the fruits , its just for the ingredients to warm a bit.

* Transfer to another bowl , gradually add the milk powder to combine, to make cookie dough like consistency , if the dough is sticky add more milk powder.
*Grease an aluminum foil with ghee or butter , sprinkle a little bit of milk powder or confectionery sugar on it and place the dough on the greased foil and roll.

* Refrigerate for at least 2 hours and cut in to 1/2 inch thick pieces , use a sharp knife for this.

Enjoy !!
Cheers
